Every student and program across the country has been impacted by the current Covid pandemic. We recognize the disparities created for students due to the pandemic impact in their local community. Based on the recommendation by the Coalition for Physician Accountability, we made the difficult decision to not host sub-interns this academic year The decision was not made lightly.
We know this negatively impacts students who desired to rotate with us to get to know our program, faculty and residents. We want to prioritize keeping students safe and our commitment to an equitable recruitment season. Due to the desire to not worsen disparities for students or programs during the pandemic, we will be hosting virtual interviews this season.
